Do you think a Christian woman should front a band that is not a Christian band?

Hi Christina,
Thank you for your email. This question is quite complicated and I hope I can be of help. I think to be a Christian girl in the secular scene can be very difficult. The expectations that are put on you are very different from those in the Christian industry. It really is a whole different ball game that should be very carefully considered. I'm not saying that it would be wrong, but it's very important to have a great support system, that you go in spiritually prepared and also without a shadow of doubt that it's what the Lord is calling you to do. I hope no matter where you are that your life will speak loudly of the Lord to those around you. God bless!

Hi Adie! First I would like to say that you are a great inspiration to me, as a wife, a mother, and a worship leader. I listen to your songs, and Jeremy's, and the lyrics sounds so real and we can clearly see you both have a deep relationship with God. Could you share with us your secret of how do you manage to have a true and deep relationship with God while taking care of your husband, daughters and everything else? Thank you so much!

Hi Tariâna,
Thank you for your email and encouragement. It's definitely no secret, but totally by God's grace that we manage to balance the life we do. :) I have come to the place in my life where I know that I don't want to do anything outside of the Lord and I know that when I try, I fail quite miserably! The most important thing for Jeremy and me, is that we both put our relationship with God first, before we look to each other. As you draw closer to the Lord, everything else falls into place so beautifully. My time with the Lord early in the morning when I read my Bible, time spent listening to worship and praying is my life source for staying close to Him. God bless! Love, Adie

When are you coming to RI to concert here? :D I love your CD, Don't Wait. I saw you last year with Jeremy at Gordon College in Massachusetts. I have been to three of Jeremy's concerts (the last one was April 29 in Lexington, Mass). I just wanted to encourage you guys to come back to New England, especially the Rhode Island area. It is extremely spiritually DARK here. People here don't seem to realize that the purpose of life is to serve God. Right now my heart is burdened for everyone here, and I am following God's plan He has for me to help show my peers what life is like serving Jesus; It's pure awesomeness! Jeremy mentioned how both of you have New England on your heart. When he said that I smiled because I believe (along with some other strong believers) that a revival is starting to happen here. People are hungry for God. It's like hot embers, ready to suddenly burst into flame. We need more of Jesus here. So I just wanted to encourage you guys to come back here and continue spreading God's awesome name and glory! God's doing something here! Thanks for proclaiming God's awesomeness! :D BTW, you and Jeremy are extremely talented. :) Thanks so much!

Hi Rachel,
It's great to hear from you. The Lord has definitely placed the Northeast on our heart. We love playing shows up there and love to see what the Lord is doing. I agree with you – I know it has been a dark area spiritually, but I really think the Lord has amazing things in store. I'm reminded of the verse in 2 Chron 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."It's great that the Lord has placed a burden on your heart too. Keep praying! Hopefully we'll be up again soon. Blessings! Love, Adie

Hello, I heard you say you homeschool your girls. Can I get some information on which program or online school that you use? I want to start my son in an accredited homeschooling program. We live in Illinois and I am not able to pay a whole lot right now. But I know this would be the best option for him right now. Any information you are able to get us going in the right direction would be very helpful. Thank you and GOD Bless you and your family.

Hi Tarra,
I'm excited for you and your adventure in homeschooling. We love it and have had such special times together... I use a bunch of different curriculum. I'm still experimenting with a few and watching to see what works the best with my girls.

This is kind of the breakdown of what we use:
ABeka – English/Comprehension/Handwriting
ABeka – Social Studies
Mystery of History – History (Genesis through Revelation)
Singapore Math – Math
Apologia – Science and Biology

I have a lot of Art books and Science experiments books that we use too. I check youtube.com for practical videos I can show the girls. I often google fun things to print out for them that's related to whatever topic we're on. We also have a friend that teaches them Spanish... Other curriculum that I've had a tiny bit of experience with and have heard great things about are, My Father's World and Sonlight. Hope that helps you. God bless! Love, Adie
