On his latest CD, Undisguised, powerhouse vocalist Anthony Evans has admittedly traded in the mask of self-imposed perfection that sometimes accompanies a public profession for a more humble, honest and transparent scope. When it comes to his life experiences and thus, how he crafts his music, a new, lay-it-all-out-on-the-table approach allowed Evans to assemble a more raw, fresh and insightful collection of songs. This is the kind of worship he's been leading at live events over the past
few years.

This time around, Evans was much more hands-on, co-producing the project with Rusty Varenkamp and Brandon Hood, while co-writing a majority of the album's songs with fellow writer Jason Ingram. And with the new focus on worship, Evans effortlessly covers corporate favorites like "Amazing God" and "Mighty to Save."

His signature soulful vocals remain, and for that we are grateful - especially when Evans blends perfectly with fellow worship leader Kari Jobe on "Rejoice," a track they wrote and performed together. Other stand-outs include "Wait," "Healer," and "Love Is."
