gmc Inks ‘First-Look’ Deal with Actress/Director/Producer Kim Fields

ATLANTA, Sept. 17, 2010 – gmc, America's favorite channel for uplifting music and family entertainment, announced today it has signed a one-year, “first-look” deal with the actress/director/producer Kim Fields (Living Single, The Facts of Life).

Under terms of the agreement, Fields will submit projects to gmc on a first-look basis for possible airing on the network. Potential projects include scripted series, documentaries, made-for-television movies and
reality shows. Fields will be connected to all projects either as director and/or producer, writer or talent.

“Kim Fields’ talents both in front of and behind the camera are truly first class,” said Brad Siegel, vice chairman, gmc. “She has many exciting ideas for original programming that fit perfectly with gmc’s uplifting music and family entertainment brand position.”

Fields has enjoyed a long and successful career on both sides of the camera.

With two television shows in worldwide syndication, Fields is well-known for her role as Tootie in The Facts of Life, which ran from 1979–88, and as Regina Hunter in Living Single (1993–98). She is also a veteran of the stage and screen with numerous starring and guest starring credits spanning over her 30-year career.

As an award-winning director, Fields’ credits include include Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Kenan & Kel.

When she married fellow actor Christopher Morgan, the ceremony was officiated by Pastor Donnie McClurkin, the gospel music legend.
