GMC is the Only Network to be Honored Twice for Providing Uplifting Music and Family Entertainment that Upholds Positive Values
ATLANTA, GA – March 6, 2012 – For the second time, the Parents Television Council™ (PTC) has awarded its coveted Entertainment Seal of Approval™ to GMC TV, America’s favorite channel for uplifting music and family entertainment. PTC recognized the GMC brand for “its excellence in programming and devotion to providing uplifting, family-friendly entertainment.”
First recognized by PTC in 2010, GMC is the only network brand to be awarded the PTC’s Seal of Approval™ twice. “It is clear that GMC is firmly devoted to producing and airing quality productions which are free of graphic and gratuitous sex, violence and profanity,” said Tim Winter, PTC president. “The Parents Television Council recognizes GMC for its excellence in programming and devotion to providing quality uplifting, family-friendly entertainment.”
Charles Humbard, president and CEO, GMC, said, “It is an honor for GMC to again be recognized by the Parents Television Council. This recognition further validates GMC’s positioning as the uplifting television destination where viewers go to be inspired and feel good about the family values they cherish. We stand by our mission to be the authentic family-friendly cable network.”
The PTC Seal of Approval™ is presented to outstanding films, television shows, advertisers and networks that emphasize positive, pro-family values and do not contain graphic or gratuitous sex, violence or profanity.
