“Greatest Stories Ever Told Week” of Movies Including, Abraham, Ten Commandments, Joseph, The Greatest Story Ever Told and Featuring the GMC World Premiere Event Jesus

Atlanta, GA- March 28, 2012 —GMC TV will celebrate Easter all week long with eight full days of powerful Bible movies beginning with an all-day marathon on Palm Sunday leading into the GMC World Premiere Event of the epic movie Jesus airing at 7 p.m. EDT, April 1. Jesus will have encore broadcasts on Good Friday, April 6 at 8 p.m. EDT and Easter Sunday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. GMC will present Jesus without commercial interruption during the last half hour of the movie.

Jesus is the acclaimed movie event starring Jeremy Sisto, Debra Messing, Jacqueline Bisset and Academy Award nominee Gary Oldman. Jesus traces the life of Christ, growing from a simple carpenter to a Savior whose teachings and sacrifice provide hope and salvation to billions of followers.

In addition to the world premiere of Jesus, GMC TV will also feature the following five films during Easter week, depicting some of the greatest stories ever told:

-Abraham: a man commanded by God to lead his family to the promised land of Canaan with the promise that if he does so, his descendants will become a great and numerous tribe. His obedience, as well as that of his children and grandchildren, is severely tested as they prove their faith to God. Stars Richard Harris, Barbara Hershey, Maximillian Schell (1994).

-Jeremiah: a man who abandons his family and the woman he loves in order to relay God's message in Jerusalem. Although he is persecuted and branded as a traitor for warning others of the destruction of the Holy City, he continues fearlessly with his mission. -The Ten Commandments: the story of Moses, who against impossible odds, leads the Jews out of Egyptian slavery into perilous freedom. Stars Dougray Scott, Paul Rhys, Omar Shariff and Naveen Andrews (2006).

-Joseph: sold to slavery by his brothers who were jealous of both his prophetic ability and of their father’s favor. Stars Ben Kingsley, Paul Mercurio (1994).

-The GMC World Premiere of The Greatest Story Ever Told: A George Stevens' epic production is a retelling of the story of Jesus Christ from the Nativity through the Resurrection. This film was nominated for five Academy® Awards and features a star-studded cast including Max Von Sydow (as Jesus), Dorothy McGuire (as Mary), Robert Loggia (as Joseph), Charlton Heston (as John the Baptist), Michael Anderson, Jr., Robert Blake, Jamie Farr, Roddy McDowall, Sidney Poitier, Pat Boone,
