Columbia, La. – January 25, 2013 – Production has commenced in Columbia, Louisiana on the original GMC TV World Premiere Movie Finding Normal, starring Candace Cameron Bure (“Full House,” The Heart of Christmas). Brian Herzlinger (Christmas Angel, My Date with Drew) directs from a screenplay written by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman. Finding Normal will make its world television premiere on GMC TV in May.

Candace Cameron Bure stars as Dr. Lisa Leland, a brilliant surgeon who could stand to improve her bedside manner. She is leaving Los Angeles to move to the Hamptons, where her hunky boyfriend, a concierge doctor, treats the rich and famous. Her fear of flying sets her on a cross-country road trip. Anxious to begin her new life, she is blindsided by an unexpected encounter in Normal, North Carolina (population 332). The path of Dr. Lisa Leland, which once seemed destined, takes a turn and causes her to question everything she had come to expect in life.

The film’s ensemble cast members include Lou Beatty Jr. (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “NCIS”), Trevor Marshall St. John (“One Life to Live, “The Client List”), Andrew Bongiomo  (“Satisfaction,” “Rush”) and Mark Irvingsen (“True Justice”).

Finding Normal is a perfect movie for families looking for a romantic and inspirational story,” said Barbara Fisher, SVP, Original Programming, GMC TV. “GMC continues to expand our line up of original programming with content that features uplifting stories with popular, high-profile casts that appeal to a multi-generational audience. We are pleased to again work with the talented Candace Cameron Bure who starred in one of our highest rated original movies, The Heart of Christmas. “

Finding Normal is produced by PureFlix Entertainment and is directed by Brian Herzlinger. Producers are David A.R. White, Elizabeth Travis, Russell Wolfe, Michael Scott and Anna Zielinski.
