Manning is known for exploring a range of diverse roles in television, independent films and major studio productions. Always one to have multiple projects in the works, while juggling her acting career, Manning is a true force with her sultry vocals as the front woman of Boomkat and the saucy electronic beats on her solo tracks.

Manning's music career began in 2003 when Taryn and brother Kellin united to form the band, Boomkat. The duo released their debut album, Boomkatalog. One through Dreamworks with their first single, "The Wreckoning," making its debut as #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Boomkat closed out 2003 as Billboard Magazine's #5 Hot Dance Club Play Artist of the Year. After a four-year hiatus and much anticipation, Boomkat released a new single "Runaway." Motivated by the success of the track, Boomkat released their sophomore album, A Million Trillion Stars in March 2009 through Manning's Little Vanilla Records.

From the beginning of their career, Boomkat experienced immediate success. The soulful single "Wastin' My Time" from the same record was personally licensed by Eminem and featured on the 8 Mile Soundtrack which sold over 6 million records worldwide. Boomkat's remake of the Blondie song "Rip Her to Shreds" can be heard in the opening credits of the film Mean Girls and "The Wreckoning" was used in the opening scene of The Italian Job. Manning is also in the studio working with producer Linney on material for her upcoming solo album.

In 2009, Manning laid down her first dance infused solo track, "So Talented," which landed in an episode of The CW's Melrose Place. A regular on the club music scene and eager to explore the entirety of her music career, Manning began experimenting as a DJ. With an exceptional ear for music, Manning easily booked gigs including high profiled events such as House of Hype's Sundance and Coachella parties, The Runaways closing party at SXSW and a pre-Grammy Party at SLS Hotel. All of which lead to a two-month residency at L.A. hot spot, Crown Bar and a recent signing with Moodswing360, one of the premiere DJ booking agencies in the industry. With a solid playlist created specific for each event, Manning is continuing to show her longevity within the industry as a true musical force.

Manning put her red carpet premieres and fashion forward thinking to the drawing board as the co-owner of clothing brand, Born Uniqorn. The passion, charisma, and love that she has for fashion inspired her to start Born Uniqorn with her best friend Tara Jane in 2005. The clothing line represents Taryn’s eclectic, colorful, and energetic personality, along with her pop/rockstar image. Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Tori Spelling are just a few of the celebrities that have been wearing the brand. Their lines are inspired by old paintings from the '60s and '70s.

Taryn Manning was born in Falls Church, Virginia but raised in Tucson, Arizona until age twelve. Manning's enormous energy and competitive nature brought her recognition and awards in everything from Karate to roller-skating. While living in Cardiff, California and attending various dance classes she realized her passion to perform. This led her to attend the prestigious Orange County High School of the Arts where her vocal, dance, and acting talents were groomed and developed, making Manning the quintessential triple threat she is today.
