Mary Mary Delivers Electrifying World Premiere Front Row Live Concert Oct. 4
ATLANTA, Ga. – October 2, 2008 – Sisters Erica and Tina Campbell, better known as Mary Mary, bring their R&B, urban, hip-hop and electronica infused gospel music to the Gospel Music Channel in a new Front Row Live concert set to world premiere on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Front Row Live: Mary Mary will debut at 10 p.m. ET with encore broadcasts at midnight and again Sunday, Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. ET. Front Row Live is GMC's original series featuring powerhouse artists hosting their own performances while sharing their musical inspirations in front of specially-invited audiences. Front Row Live saves fans the cost of gas and a concert ticket for an extraordinary hour of entertainment.
During the electrifying hour of music, the platinum-selling gospel duo offer a sneak peak from their upcoming new CD The Sound (which releases on Oct. 21) with songs like the pop-infused anthem of praise and empowerment "Get Up" and the R&B flavored title track "The Sound." Mary Mary also performs some of their big hits like "Shackles" and "Heaven." Other performances on Front Row Live include "Believer," "The Real Party," "Yesterday," "What Is This" and "I Worship You."
Growing up in Inglewood, California, the sisters now known as Mary Mary first sang publicly in the local church choir and received their first break in 1998, performing a song on the soundtrack for the "Prince of Egypt." Since the 2000 release of their platinum-selling debut album, Thankful, the duo has earned a GRAMMY, American Music Award, Soul Train Award and multiple Dove and Stellar Awards and released three more best-selling records – Incredible (2002), Mary Mary (2005) and Mary Mary Christmas (2006).
