The seventh of 10 children, Winans began his career as a background singer for his brothers (The Winans) before teaming with sister Cece Winans in 1987 for a run of platinum-selling albums. He has also recorded songs with Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight and Whitney Houston. He is host of “The Bebe Experience” on SiriusXM. As an actor, his feature film credits include Jonathan Demme’s The Manchurian Candidate. His theater credits include the off-Broadway musical “King Solomon Lives,” “A Nubian Love Story; Civil War,” “Don’t Get God Started” and “What’s on the Hearts of Men.” He appeared as a celebrity judge on the television series “Sunday Best.” Winans was born in Detroit, Mich. and lives in Nashville, Tenn.
